After a grand success of 1st edition of India-LAC Pharma Business Meet in 2007, we are pleased to inform that we are organizing 2nd edition of 'India-LAC Pharma Business Meet' during 28-30th September 2011 at Taj Krishna, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, involving importers / buyers / FDA / Drug Regulatory officials from Latin American Countries. This event is being organized coinciding Council's 7th Annual General Meet and also Export/Patent Awards function.

Highlights of the event:

  • The total imports of drugs and pharmaceuticals of Latin American Region is around US$ 19626 mn and India's share is 2.20% with about US$ 433 mn of exports in 2009. There is a huge potential for the Indian pharma exporters to enhance their export performance to LAC countries.

  • About 80 delegates from major Latin American countries like Argentina (52.61), Brazil (209.89), Colombia (50.98), Chile (34.8), Costa Rica (10.65), Ecuador (8.13), El Salvador (3.59), Guatemala (10.72), Jamaica (9.37), Mexico (109.94), Nicaragua (7.66), Peru (24.46), Trinidad & Tobago (6.91), Venezuela (40.12) are being invited.

  • There will be Technical sessions, where FDA / Drug Regulatory officials of various LAC countries will make presentations on drug regulatory systems in their respective countries.

  • Emphasis will be on one-to-one Meetings with the buyers.

  • Three days programme is conveniently divided into Five Sessions for Business Meetings including one follow up session. Members have option to select any one of four Business Sessions of their choice to meet the overseas buyers. Follow Up session on 3rd day is open to all registered participants.

  • Plant visits will be organized for the FDA / Drug regulatory authorities

  • Exhibition by the Indian pharma exporters, to showcase the individual company products

  • Special / discounted tariffs at various hotels are available for the registered delegates

  • A separate web-domain is created for the event giving complete details about the event.

  • Hon'ble Minister for Commerce & Industry is likely to participate in the Closing Ceremony of the event on 30th September 2011, where Export & Patent Awards will be conferred to the members.

  • Senior Govt. officials including Secretaries, DGFT, DCGI etc., are invited.

Members who are interested to participate in the above meetings may register themselves through online Registration. Last date for registration is 15.9.2011. Registration fee:

  • SSI & Merchant Exporters category       ::  Rs.7,000 per delegate

  • Large scale exporters category            :: Rs.10,000 per delegate

  • Non-Members                                    :: Rs.12,000 per delegate

Note: Registration fee includes participation in any one Business Session & Follow up Session, Welcome dinner on 27.9.2011, Closing Ceremony on 30.9.2011 and lunch followed/preceded by the Business selected.

Exhibition:

There will be an exhibition of Indian companies (for about 20 members only) at the same venue during all three days. Cost of participation in the exhibition is Rs.60,000/- (Rupees sixty thousands only) per stall of 6 sq. meters (3x2 meters). Floor plan and other details of the exhibition will be made available in our website. Two delegates (only) from participating company will be allowed to take care of the stall. All the exhibitors will be allowed to meet the overseas delegates during 1st Business Session only and not allowed in the subsequent Business Meetings.

Advertisements in the Show Catalogue:

A Show Catalogue will be brought out on this occasion which contains the details of all Indian & overseas delegates, a write up on Indian export performance to LAC countries etc. Members are invited to release advertisements, tariff details of which are given below:
