Aimed to achieve the target turnover of Rs 100 crore in 2007-08, the Ahmedabad-based Marck Biosciences Ltd, a leading manufacturer of parenterals, said the company would expand its presence in global markets. As per the plan, the company will apply for registration to market its products in regulated markets like South East Asia, North and South America, Europe and Australia. "We are focussing on a dual pronged strategy of market expansion and leveraging the large CRAM opportunity to grow exponentially in the coming years. We plan to launch our products in more international markets and explore opportunities with pharma companies looking to outsource their manufacturing to India to companies with a portfolio of quality products and a world class manufacturing facility." said Bhavesh Patel, MD, Marck Biosciences. Marck is targeting to emerge as the third largest parenterals company in India and have invested Rs 72 cr at the existing manufacturing facility in Gujarat to increase its production capacity to 230 mn units of small volume parenterals and 61 mn units of large volume parenterals.
