Fresenius Kabi To Push Up Parenteral
Volumes
The Pune-based Fresenius Kabi India Pvt. Ltd, a wholly owned
subsidiary of the Germany-based Fresenius Kabi AG, is planning to expand its
operations in India both through organic and inorganic means. Now more than a Rs
100 crore company in India, Fresenius Kabi has established its mark as a leading
provider of plasma volume expanders and parenteral nutrition solutions.
Speaking to Chronicle Pharmabiz, Rakesh Bhargava, managing
director and chief executive officer, Fresenius Kabi India Pvt. Ltd, said,
"Presently, the company is expanding its operations in China. Once Fresenius
Kabi establishes itself as a countable force in China, the company will turn its
focus to India. The company will resort to both organic and inorganic ways to
expand its reach and establish itself as a major player in the country."
As part of the company's initiatives to conquer the Indian
pharma market with new products, Fresenius Kabi has recently launched blood
banking products and enteral nutrition powder diets in the country. Apart, the
company has also introduced a couple of parenteral and enteral nutrition
packages in the country and is a major player in this segment of business.
Also, the company is one of the major players in the infusion
therapy with a wide range of products, including infusion solutions for osmotic
therapy and blood volume replacement and hemodilution therapy, I.V. anaesthetics,
I.V. anti-infective drugs, irrigation solutions or urology and other basic
solutions. The company also provides medical devices related to this segment,
including PDMS patient data management systems, volumetric infusion pumps and
syringe pumps, infusion and clinical fluid management systems, IV anaesthesia
and analgesia systems and autotrans-fusion systems.

Etipack Launches Pharmaceutical
Labelling Systems
The Etipack Coding and Labelling Systems, a leading designer of labelling and
coding systems for self-adhesive labels, feeders and pick & place devices,
recently launched a range of pharmaceutical labelling systems.
According to a company release, the labelling systems in the GAMP series, which
had launched at the recent Pharmintech, is devoted to satisfy the specific
quality and safety standards of pharmaceutical packaging. The products have
designed as per the international guidelines and feature a high level standard
configuration and also provide validation process.
