management devices in India
October 14, 2020
CRT-Ds are used to prevent sudden death similar to
traditional ICDs, but in addition, act to restore the heart’s natural pattern of
beating in patients with reduced cardiac function and progressive heart failure
despite optimal medical therapy.
New Delhi: Abbott on Wednesday announced the launch
of its new implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and cardiac
resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) devices for abnormal heart
rhythms and heart failure.
CRT-Ds are used to prevent sudden death similar to
traditional ICDs, but in addition act to restore the heart’s natural pattern of
beating in patients with reduced cardiac function and progressive heart failure
despite optimal medical therapy.
The devices offer new opportunities for patient
engagement and remote monitoring through smartphone connectivity and connected
applications. Additional benefits include a patient preferred design, improved
battery longevity and MRI compatibility, said the company in a release.

Ceresana Examines the World
Market for Thermoplastic elastomers
8 October 2020
Market research specialist Ceresana has analyzed
the global market for TPEs for the third time. Global revenues generated with
TPEs are expected to increase to almost $21bn by 2027.
TPE is in increasing demand in mechanical
engineering, medical technology, and electrical engineering and electronics. TPE
can now be found in numerous everyday products, for example in cable sheathings,
roof membranes, soft-touch handles for tools or toothbrushes, as well as in many
toys and household appliances.
The demand for TPE is strongly concentrated in the
largest economic nations: processors in China, the US, Japan, and Germany
currently account for more than 60 per cent of global consumption. The
production of TPE is dominated by manufacturers in Asia, where more than 57 per
cent of the global production takes place. North America comes in second place,
followed by Western Europe.
The study offers a differentiated presentation and
analysis of the global TPE market, including forecasts until 2027, and the
development of revenues, demand, and production is presented for each region of
the world. The market for TPE is divided into the different types of TPE: SBC,
TPO, TPU, TPV and other thermoplastic elastomers. The different areas of
application of TPEs are also examined in detail. Data and factors influencing
the use of TPE in the segments transportation, construction, other industries,
shoes and sporting goods, as well as other consumer goods are analyzed
separately.
It also provides an in-depth analysis of the 16
most important countries for the TPE market: demand, exports, imports,
production, and revenues. The countries are also reviewed in terms of the
different application areas. The data on demand volumes per country are
furthermore divided by each product type.
Finally, the study contains a useful list of
manufacturers including the 59 most important producers of TPE. It is clearly
organized according to contact information, revenues, profits, product range,
production sites, and profile summary.
